Epicurean Cutting Boards

Epi NON SLIPS

I struggled for years trying to find the right cutting board, and no thanks to the plethora of cooking shops in Manhattan I spent my hard-earned money buying most of them. Nothing fit the bill: Bamboo – too hard, dulls your knives. Wood – nice and soft but the garlic and onion smell stays in it and mingles with your fresh fruits (plus you aren’t “supposed” to put them in the dishwasher). Plastic – slides all over the place, warps and is ugly. Those flexi-sheet cutting “boards” are ugly, a pain in the *** to clean, and they can be brutal on your knives.

So the search continued until 2003 when I discovered these gems! They are made out of skate-park material, goodness knows how someone figured that out, but they are soft enough not to dull your knives, they look nice enough sitting out, they are dishwasher safe, they have a handy little hole for hanging them on the wall, and they come in great sizes!
