Called an “email cheat sheet” by The NY Post and a “Secret Weapon” by one of its two founders,  The Skimm is everything you need to know for the day in one bite-sized chunk. Danielle Weisberg and Carly Zakin, two gorgeous 20-something New Yorkers (by way of Chicago), started The Skimm after leaving their jobs at NBC where they both worked in news production. They now have a free, subscription-based, newsletter aimed at young (errr….), educated, females delivering the top five or so news stories  of the day with neutral-ish and a funny editorial slant landing in your in-box at 6am EST.
